Frequently asked questions
What do I need before booking a session?
Your system should be powered on and accessible during the session.
For remote support, the system must be connected to the internet and visible in VRM.
You should also have access to your system via GX device, phone, or laptop, and be ready to perform basic checks if required.
Being prepared ensures the session time is used effectively.
Do I need to be in front of my system during the session?
Yes — for effective fault finding, you should be in front of your system.
Diagnostics is not a simple step-by-step process. Results from one test often determine the next steps, and the process can branch depending on what we find.
Without direct access, testing becomes limited and may not deliver meaningful results within the session.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 12 hours prior to your scheduled session.
Cancellations within 12 hours are non-refundable.
If you are unavailable at the time of your booking, up to two callback attempts will be made. Missed sessions may be treated as completed.
Does my system need to be connected to the internet?
Yes — for VRM-based remote diagnostics, your system must be online.
Without an active connection, support will be limited to manual checks and may be less efficient.
What happens during a session?
During the session, we review your system configuration, analyse system behaviour, identify faults or inefficiencies, and provide clear next steps.
Where possible, issues are resolved during the session.
What if the fault cannot be resolved remotely?
Some faults require physical inspection or repair.
This includes wiring issues, component faults, or 240V electrical work.
In these cases, the session will identify the issue and provide clear guidance for a qualified electrician or auto electrician.
Can you access my system without me being present?
In some cases, yes — if full VRM access is available.
However, most diagnostic work is significantly more effective when you are present, as testing often requires interaction with the system.
Can you help with intermittent or hard-to-find faults?
Yes.
Intermittent faults can often be identified through system data and behaviour patterns, although some may require extended monitoring or multiple sessions.
What happens after the session?
You will receive a summary of the work completed.
This includes key findings, identified issues, and recommended actions.
This report can be used for future reference or passed to a tradesperson if required.
